        Your Creation:  “Little Church v2”

This piece was custom made using old, discarded wood found in and around New Orleans. The 4 sides of this church were crafted from fence boards and the wooden floor was made from old window framing or floorboards pulled from dumpsters near historic Esplanade Ave in New Orleans. The Tabernacle was cut and hammered from old copper flashing which came from an historic plantation style home (which is now the Holy Rosay Rectory) on Bayou St. John.  Some of these pieces can easily date over 100 years old and still has the original paint that has been sanded to expose the different layers of colors used throughout its history.   When you peak inside, you will see a simple pew facing the alter, tabernacle and crucifix, symbolizing the peace and solitude we experience while in prayer with Jesus.

All these materials used were hand selected and crafted for you in 2025, with you in mind from start to finish.
