Farm House Table

   Your Creation:  “Farm House Table and Benches”

This furniture was custom made using an old reclaimed door I got from a house off of Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans.   The table and bench legs were made from non-uniform framing lumber typically found in attics in old NOLA homes. The bench seats are made from old window / door framing.  All of this wood was  discarded and pulled out of a dumpster on N Rendon St. near historic Esplanade Ave in New Orleans.   The bench seats include the original paint colors that have been sanded to expose the layers of paint used throughout the history of each piece.  You will notice old nail holes and mounting hardware / features, such as where door/shutter hinges were once fastened.

All of these materials used here were hand selected and crafted in this piece in 2019.
