Your Creation:  “Bench”

This furniture was custom made using an old discarded wood that had been reclaimed from a dumpster on N Rendon St. near historic Esplanade Ave in New Orleans.   The base and legs were made from old non-uniform framing lumber typically found in attics of old NOLA homes.  The seat is made from old window framing boards, which contains the original paint colors that have been sanded to expose the different layers of paint used throughout the history of the wood.  You will notice old nail holes and mounting hardware / features, such as where door/shutter hinges were once fastened.

All of these materials used here were hand selected and crafted into this piece in 2019.
