       Creation:  “Desk”

This furniture was a repurposed desk.  As you can see, I started with an old executive style desk, removed the bottom 3 rows of draws, widened the desk six inches and increased the depth four inches.  I wrapped the whole outside of the desk with cedar wood that came out of a barbeque restaurant and added a new desktop with old reclaimed floor boards salvaged from a home near historic Esplanade Ave. in New Orleans.   The legs of the desk were made from non-uniform framing lumber typically found in attics of old homes.  If you look closely, you will notice nail holes, distressed features in the wood and some of the original paint on the boards that I purposely left to retain its history.
